5G&SC - Hardware - PCB Design Engineer
Development Engineers in this position will participate in the design of next generation 5G and mmWave Wireless Infrastructure equipment. Specific activities include definition of functional and interface requirements of major components and subsystems, design and implementation of defined hardware/software, support for platform and product integration, and identification, evaluation, and integration of new technologies. The group also provides engineering support to Supply Chain for products in production and to Global Market Teams for field issues as necessary.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology or a similar field.
- Work in a global engineering team environment soliciting and sharing expertise with other Nokia organizations as necessary.
- Develop high-performance and low-cost PCB stack-ups containing advanced technologies.
- Knowledgeable in reading datasheets and complying to required placement, breakout and routing of IC-circuits.
- Experience setting up PCB routing constraints in Mentor Graphics Constraint Editor.
- Experience with PCB routing using Mentor Graphics Xpedition PCB CAD tools.
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of PCB multi-layer designs for multigigabit High speed interfaces and DDR interfaces.
- An understating of Gerber data, fabrication data and bill of materials files.
- Experience with IPC standards and safety agency (UL, CE) requirements.
- General knowledge of digital circuits and power delivery networks.
- Adhere to Nokia engineering processes, including the maintenance of accurate documentation.
- Must be able to travel internationally to support prototype manufacturing or customer deployment.
