About Cloud and Network Services (CNS)

Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia’s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.


About CNS Enterprise Sales

The ambition of Enterprise Sales within CNS is to grow faster than the market and develop premium margin revenue streams with a focus on disruption trends such as private wireless, Industrial automation, IoT, to unfold opportunities in the Information & Communications Technology (ICT) industries. It would also drive Nokia’s business in the Industrial and Government space with direct and indirect partner sales, including accountability for pre-sales, marketing, market services and building segment expertise. The team will also drive Nokia’s partnership, particularly the service provider as a partner channel, to jointly deliver digital platforms of the future enabled by 5G and beyond.


Job Description

This Account Manager will be responsible for identifying new customers, driving order intake growth, increasing business with existing customers and penetrating new sectors for Nokia’s technologies, such as private wireless networks, IP/Optics, Nokia Software and services in the Public Safety, Cities, Defense and Government sectors.


Job Responsibilities & Competencies

Main Responsibility Areas:

  • Annual Order intake targets
  • Identify, define and drive new business in defined Government and Cities sectors in Singapore
  • Customer value propositions – work across the Business groups and support teams to create innovative compelling customer propositions from the Nokia Solution portfolio
  • Build new relationships, expand existing relationships to Government and Cities Key Customer/Prospects – through various workshops and marketing-focused activities
  • Market insight / competitive activity– maintaining a view of evolving Government and Cities market conditions and competitive activity
  • Government and City Solutions/Portfolio – provide customer feedback and demand for new/existing solutions to the Global Product teams

This role requires an individual with deep technical and commercial expertise and demonstrated success selling and established wide relationships with key public sector customers, industry associations and knowledge of Public Safety spectrum and standards. Additionally, extensive experience selling Nokia’s Private LTE and solutions through Singapore Communication Service Providers and Partner channels to the Government and Cities sector is welcome.



  • Minimum 8 years of experience in identifying and driving business development and sales programs in Singapore in the Public Safety, Smart Cities, Government and Defense sectors.
  • Demonstrated track record of business development, consultative selling, sales pipeline creation and successful conversion to orders for Nokia in APAC for the Government and Cities Segment.
  • Successful track record of gaining internal stakeholder support for new businesses from the broader matrixed Nokia organization.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Public Safety market in Singapore, including solution requirements and regulatory environments and the Nokia blueprinted and evolving solutions.
  • Existing personal network covering Public Safety, Government and end-users, regulatory and planning bodies, system integrators/VARs and industry groups.
  • Established relationships and success in creating Government and Cities business through Partners, and Communication Service Providers to build Nokia preference with their end customers.



  • Engineering degree or Business Degree

  • Creative thinker - able to see past current issues and understand long-term potential.
  • Ability to operate efficiently in a heavily matrixed environment - leveraging diverse resource groups while serving multiple internal customers, while remaining externally focused on customer needs.
  • Scrupulous adherence to corporate guidelines on business ethics, compliance and governance.
