BA Hosting is a business unit of Business Applications (BA) Nokia Cloud & Network Services (CNS). It delivers Nokia CNS Business Applications, and associated customized solutions, through hosting and/or SaaS operations. Its services include system and database administration, networking, applications operations, and when required, customer operations (e.g. campaign management, IOT services) and value added services. It delivers its services through a combination of Nokia own datacenters and public cloud. BA Hosting helps its customers maximize the value of BA Applications & Solutions by providing faster time to market, lower total cost of ownership and expertise on BA applications SWs.  This position is specifically in the CNS BA Hosting Operations Infrastructure Networking Team.  Today, it serves more than 20 customers, ranging from tier-1 CSPs, web-scale companies, to small-medium size ISPs, utilities and enterprise companies, across NAM, LAT, Europe and APJ. Among others, it manages over 100M wireline and wireless devices on behalf of these customers on a daily basis. 



What you will learn and contribute to

As part of our team, you will:

  • Plan, configure and support the networking required for the deployment projects which enable us to fully migrate all the current hosted applications towards containerized solution offerings  
  • Respond, restore and resolve issues reported on the Networking equipment within the solutions in our hosted architecture
  • Interface with Services, PMO, and Care teams in support of deployments, issues, and other required activities which involve Networking
  • Participate in incident management including service restoral and contributing in the Root Cause Analysis process to ensure we meet the requirements of our SLAs
Follow all Nokia Information Security policies and guidelines including ISMS (ISO27001 program)




Your skills and experience


 You have:


  • Comprehensive understanding of network services, and networks including TCP/IP, OSPF, and BGP.  Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting the networking infrastructure in support of the enterprise services that involve complex interactions among applications, databases, server operating systems, internet/network protocols, and client configurations.
  • Knowledge of Firewalls and best security practices
  • Experience with Load Balancers and DNS
  • Minimum 7 years experience with Networking, networking equipment (bridges, routers, switches), routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), Linux
  • At least 8+ years of Networking work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, Master´s degree is a plus


It would be nice if you also had:

  • Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)
  • Experience in a Data Center environment including out of hours support on a rotational basis
  • Good understanding of managed/hosting operations, especially in the areas of security, monitoring and logging
  • Good understanding of cloud technologies, including virtualization, containerization/K8S and public clouds (e.g. AWS)
  • Good understanding of the telecommunications market, the solutions, and services it offers, as well as the enabling networking and IT technologies
