Bell Labs - Research Engineer in Machine Learning for Wireless Communications

Needed qualifications & skills:

·        Ph.D. degree in communications or computer science

·        Very strong background in digital signal processing, statistics, linear algebra, communication theory, L1/L2 algorithms

·        Some background and practical experience with modern machine learning techniques

·        Experience with at least one programming /scripting language, ideally Python and C++

·        Ability to carry out independent research

·        Desire to bring research ideas to prototype level

·        Very good level of spoken and written English

Desired qualifications & skills:

·        Some years of experience after Ph.D.

·        Hands-on experience with deep learning libraries (e.g., Tensorflow, PyTorch)

·        Knowledge of (deep) reinforcement learning algorithms

·        Outstanding publication track record in top IEEE journals and conferences

·        Strong presentation skills

·        FPGA or SDR development skills

·        Experience with ray tracing
