Solid Research Experience in one or more of the following fields is a plus

-          Stream processing, streaming analytics, query languages, data-flows

-          Knowledge representation and automated reasoning

-          Compilers, code analysis and code generation, software synthesis, constraint-satisfaction programming and model-driven software engineering, software language design

-          Distributed systems

Position Requirements

-          You have a PhD degree or Master degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering.

-          You have a proven track record as a researcher in at least one of the domains above. You have publications at quality conferences like SIGMOD, VLDB, DEBS, ICDE, OOPSLA/SPLASH, ECOOP, ICDCS, NSDI, ICFP, ICSE, KDD, …

-          Capability to conduct research from conceptualisation, SW prototyping up to writing patents & publications.

-          You have demonstrable programming skills and you have experience with building software involving a combination of open source frameworks and libraries.

-          You master programming languages covering several methodologies (functional, imperative, declarative, logical, ...)

-          You are a quick learner, able to identify & research new technologies.

-          You are eager to work on concrete, hard problems, and deliver outstanding research result.

-          You combine a personal drive with commitment to team objectives and you feel comfortable to work autonomously, with little day-to-day guidance

-          You can express yourself fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
