IP and Optical Networks Services Business Unit (ION – SBU) provides professional services in support of the deployment of advanced network solutions across the entire ION product line.  The ION Global Network Engineering (GNE) team provides a wide range of services including: 
  • IP/MPLS Network core and services design, including business VPNs, residential services, Wifi-Offload, CG-NAT, Application Assurance, ISP networks, Security, mobile backhauling, EPC infrastructure…
  • Cloud Computing Data Centers and SD-WAN architecture, design, automation and deployment
  • Network and Services migration and transformation
  • Architecture and Design Consultation
  • Operations Consultation
  • Advanced training workshops
The team is seeking a Leader for the ION India Professional Services Delivery function to deliver services to Nokia’s customer base. The candidate will manage a team of highly qualified personnel to provide guidance and management of greenfield and brownfield end-to-end network engineering activities from initial scoping to migration delivery completion. The leader will be involved directly in customer engagements for major customers and making sure the different delivery organizations needed to execute on these engagements are properly sized and scheduled.
The leader needs to be dynamic, creative and decisive. Need to be leading his/her team but also influencing other delivery teams responsible in delivering on the transformation programs.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Insure delivery organizations are properly aligned to deliver on transformation/migration engagements.
  • Meet and interface with major customers to make sure customer special needs are met.
  • Manage customer escalations during the executions of these transformation projects.
  • Make sure his/her team are following up/managing customer change requests and driving customer sign-offs.
  • Make sure his/her team are working receiving feedback from the different delivery teams, to be able to provide guidance and reporting on the transformation engagements.
  • Make decisions on investments in tools and automations to facilitate and further enhance migration executions.
  • Make sure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Build relationships with sales, R&D and other delivery organizations inside Nokia.
  • Insure response to customer RFP’s are properly and competitively sized, helping Nokia ION sales team closing on such deals. Deciding on a delivery model that is balanced between cost and customer demands.
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent experience.
MBA or equivalent experience.
 LANGUAGE:          English is a must, other languages a plus.
 TRAVEL:                35%
 LOCATION:           Noida & Bangalore, India


The ideal candidate should have work experience with some or all of the following (minimum 10+ years relevant work experience):
 Extensive and lengthy experience leading large complex teams including managing managers
  • Previous hands-on and operational experience.
  • Worked with all customer segments for IP & Optics design, upgrade and migration projects.
  • Knowledge with customer network configuration and migration workflows and execution
  • Worked on migration tools, including defining requirements for new tools that will improve migration executions – Examples is a plus.
  • Deep experience in Routing, Packet Core, Optical networking
  • Experience with Tier 1 network consolidation projects
  • Basic knowledge of OSS systems and scripting tools.
  • People management skills and resource allocation.
  • Working, influencing and coordinating between multiple groups to run large complex programs.
  • Working with multiple remote delivery centers.
  • Process definition, monitoring and improvements techniques.
  • Customer interfacing and management experience, CxO level
  • Budget management
  • KPI identifying and reporting
  • Presentation and communication skills
