Traineeship - Cloud Customer Support


You will be part of the team within NOKIA ION SBU organization as a Trainee support delivering worldwide care services for Virtual EPC, also known as Nokia Cloud Packet Core.

 

The trainee will be in charge of assisting in customer network issues requiring a global understanding of mobile networks.


Technical Focus - You will develop competencies on: 

- Cloud Management Systems (CMS) such as VMware vCloud, OpenStack, CloudStack

- HP Servers, Citrix, Network protocols and IETF Standards

- Virtual Private Network L2 and L3 solutions (Routing/Switching protocols)

- Will learn and understand 3GPP standards 

- 5G core

Responsibilities

- Assist in providing Remote Technical Support for the Virtual Evolved Packet Core solutions and associated network elements. 

- Collect information and symptoms needed for technical analysis 

- Interface, develop and maintain strong relationships with external and internal customers, remotely to troubleshoot/ answer questions

- Assist with debugging product installations, resolves product problems by applying both established procedures and creative alternatives

- Installation and/or commissioning and/or integration activities 

- Network expansion activities.

- Software maintenance activities such as SW change planning, On-line SW Change Service 

- Launch, trials and pilot projects support 


Qualifications 

- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Good level of Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.

- Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems 

- A “can do” attitude to persist in face of complex work to produce positive results  

- Very adaptable with ability to learn new technologies, products, processes 

- Studying towards a degree in Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science

- Self-motivated with proven record as a self-starter

- Strong Interpersonal and organizational skills
