This position is for a cybersecurity solution architecture in the Large Enterprise & Webscale segment of Nokia. It is for the initiated with desire to work with the industry, customers and various Nokia products and partners to develop and conceptualize new solutions, products and technologies. The enterprise segment includes financials, retailers, health care, education and automotive in addition the webscale companies who count among the top cloud providers and platforms. The responsibility of the cybersecurity solution architect includes:


  • Defining detailed architecture blueprints that leverage and integrate existing Nokia technologies and/or advocate the creation of new Nokia technologies targeted at cybersecurity as it pertains to critical OT and IT infrastructure and IoT, spanning WAN, LAN and cloud (private and hybrid)

  • Discovery of market needs through industry and customer discussions, driving solutions and products with customers and Nokia R&D

  • Industry and customer evangelization of Nokia solutions

  • Work with strategic Nokia partners and Nokia development teams on innovative solutions that position Nokia for market innovative products

  • Identification of strategic opportunities that leverage Nokia and partner’s products in a joint solution

  • Lead the technology roadmap and GTM for the enterprise and webscale segments, and develop he GTM strategy with the Marketing and sales teams

  • Put the context of cybersecurity in the contxt of the various vertical contexts

  • Collaborate with the sales team in interacting and presenting to key potential customers

Location: Candidate should be located in: Mountain View, CA; Westford, MA; or Plano, TX.
Required Qualifications 
  • BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering at minimum. MS or PhD preferred, with preference for focus on cybersecurity
  • At least 7 years experience in cybersecurity
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and appreciate market needs
  • Ability to prioritize and execute in a high pressure environment.
  • Ability to present concepts clearly
  • Team player

The candidate must have demonstrated skills and understanding in the following areas:

  • Cybersecurity architecture

  • The various elements that provide for cybersecurity, including but not limited to SIEM, identity and role based management, and compliance management and enforcement

  • Complex threat detection and mitigation

  • DDOS detection and mitigation

  • Scalable system architecture

  • Security for virtualized environments with type 1 and type 2 hypervisors, anf for containerized applications

  • Software defined security

  • System level threat source analysis

  • Security orchestration and automated response

  • Data encryption, and traffic encryption and IPsec

  • Web services Authentication and authorization


Additional desired skill sets/knowledge of

  • Analytics
  • Machine learning
  • CASB
  • Public cloud security mechanisms
