Knowledge / Skills / Experience
Technical:
-
Understanding and Industrial Experience (5 yrs minimum) with the following technologies:
- Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM)
- Data Technologies (Layer 2 and Layer 3)
- Network Management System
- General knowledge of Data Networking (data transport and routing protocols including Ethernet, MPLS, TCP/IP, OSPF, OSI CLNS, IS-IS)
- General Computer Skills (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)

A degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science.

Well developed Interpersonal skills.

Well developed presentation and customer facing skills.
-
Demonstrable written communication skills including succinct report writing.
- Well developed organisational skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
Business Awareness:

Awareness of all operations and structures within NOKIA.

Demonstrates clear understanding of how the company works.
- Understands the impact of decisions on project outcomes, strategies, operations and budget.
Communications:

Able to work effectively with others and to communicate to audiences both verbally and through written materials.

Note:

Position is based in Wellington and may require some NZ and international travel.

Position requires availability for after-hours work to support projects and support work and international video and phone conferences.
