Our Fixed Networks (FN) business group provides an array of “gigabit to the home” solutions to deliver data access to our communication service provider (CSP) customers. This includes Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) as well as 5G fixed wireless access (FWA), xDSL and cable upgrades. We build solutions that don’t stop at the home but also bring that gigabit experience into the home using our meshed Wi-Fi solution.  

 

 

Main Responsibilities and Tasks

 

- Main interface in the region regarding design topics such as surveys, requests for Right-of-Ways and the control of elaborated designs by the back office team. 

- Supervises work of individuals design contributors assuring that the outputs are according to productivity and quality expected.

- Monitors the fulfilment of design production for his region.

- Coordinates between back-office designers, field supervisors and subcontractors to assure design changes are implemented as required. 

- Identifies bottlenecks in the design process and proposes alternative solutions

- Engages with Local Municipalities when needed to clarify the project designs

- Ensures construction techniques are implemented by the subcontractors as specified in the designs in collaboration with the field supervisors.

- Coaches and trains the people in his region order to have maximum effectiveness.

- Provides support and clarification to the As Built team where needed.  

 
Requirements
 
-- English Language: Fluent
- +5 years experience in designing FTTH and Outside Plant networks
- Customer Focused
- Experience with different design tools
- Team Player

- Principal Designer qualification is highly valued

- Extensive knowledge of Deployment Regulations
