ASIC/FPGA Development Engineer

Expected Background / Experience

- Latest FPGA Technologies and their development environment

- High speed interface technologies in FPGAs and ASICs

- Generic ASIC and FPGA development environment and

tools (Synopsys, Mentor, Cadence)

- Knowledge of complex, hierarchical ASIC design and ASIC

technologies

- Embedded control infrastructures and processing cores

(SoC)

- Transmission Theory and Algorithms, Modulation Formats

and their Implementation (ADC/DAC, DSP)

- Design Languages (VHDL mandatory, Verilog welcome)

- Script Programming (TCL)

- Optical transmission systems and their components

(SONET/SDH, OTN, Packet)

- Basic understanding of circuit pack design and functionality

Ability to work in teams and but also independently and selforganized

Good Communication Skills; Collaboration with local and

international teams

Understanding of complex transmission systems and their

architecture

Ability to understand and solve complex development tasks

Other

Fluent spoken and written English required; German

expected

Occasional international travel
