Digital ASIC/FPGA Researcher
Main Responsibility Area
- Grow and represent the digital ASIC/FPGA hardware competence area in the access research space.
- Identify and explore new differentiating ASIC solutions through modelling, simulation, FPGA-based prototyping and ASIC realizations of digital building blocks.
- Extract high-quality intellectual property from your theoretical and experimental work.
- Challenge technical and experimental contributions from academic & industrial partners.
- Create & maintain strong collaborative associations with other Nokia locations & programs
- Mastering the areas of high-speed/low power electronics and digital signal processing in ASICs & FPGAs.
- Knowledge & hands-on experience with system simulation & ASIC design tools and programming languages (with focus on real-time & embedded programming)
- Affinity with embedded (multi-core) processor architectures.
- Understand & explore analog vs. digital trade-offs.
- Experience & affinity with experimental lab setups & high-end test equipment.
- Quick learner, able to identify & research new ASIC & network technologies.
- Strong & open mindset with drive to succeed
- Enjoy theoretical deep-dives as well as experimental & broadly scoped work.
- Ready to being challenged outside your comfort zone to achieve top results.
- Stimulated to conduct research autonomously while contributing to team-oriented projects in a cooperative and expert-rich environment.
