To succeed in this role, it is expected that you possess the following knowledge and/or skills:
- Experience with copper access solutions.
- Experience in design or roll-out of DOCSIS based HFC networks
- Certified DOCSIS CMTS professional would be an asset.
- Experience in IP networks, and the fundamentals of IP transport technologies: (UPD/TCP/IP) protocols. The candidate should posses a fundamental understanding of issues related to TCP/IP transport, as well as the routing/switching technologies.
- Knowledge of IP/MPLS technologies would be an asset
- A strong desire to succeed, and a track history for commitment to bring opportunities to closure.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Self-motivated and results-focused
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
- The candidate must be able to assume the role of trusted consultant to Japanese customers. The candidate must be fluent in Japanese, and be comfortable in the conditions of engagement set by the customers.
- Experience in UNIX/LINUX based systems, and familiarity of various UNIX OS tools will be an advantage too.
- Exposure of working on high value complex deals
- Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external parties
- Ability to work independently while still achieving the goals stated above
- University Degree in Computer Science or Electric & Electronic Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering.
