We are looking for a Head of Human right to help bring our Human right purpose to life for our customers, employees and the communities we serve. Based in Nokia MCA Group - Corporate Sustainability team,
the Head of Human rights will report to the Corporate Sustainability head. He/she will undertake the following responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of Nokia’s approach to Human Rights issues across the company.
  • Ensure Nokia meets its’ human rights commitments, with a focus on issues related to free expression, misuse of products, right to privacy and the avoidance of modern slavery in Nokia’s supply chain.
  • Drive and conduct in collaboration with internal subject matter experts Human Rights Due Diligence
  • Provide subject matter expertise at senior levels on human rights
  • Contribute to overall Nokia Corporate Responsibility activities and reporting requirements.
  • Engage with external and internal stakeholders to enhance understanding of our responsibilities and commitments and external understanding of Nokia's human rights approach and commitment. 
Responsibilities:
  • Extensive experience in creating and executing corporate policy and strategy to address complex issues around corporates’ duty to respect human rights.
  • Experienced change leader with a proven track record of building consensus and engaging effectively at executive level.
  • Established external networks in corporate, civil society and international organization level on issues related to human rights.
  • A solid understanding of overall trends and practices in the Corporate Responsibility area.
12+ years of experience in public policy, and with the impact of technology on human rights, conflict, and peace-building human rights, conflict prevention, freedom of expression, and technology
Master degree in public policy, foreign relations
Knowledge of conflict areas and threats to human rights
Experience working with technology companies on policy development and/or enforcement
Experience working in developing nations and with governments and civil society organizations around the world
Experience working in conflict areas and/or with programs to address and mitigate conflict, competencies on consensus-building
Experience working with technical product teams
Experience addressing information operations, propaganda, and/or the intersection of media and historical violence
Experience operating independently and representing companies at the ministerial-level
Multilingual
