OVERVIEW
- Responsible for setting the direction and leading all market-level, customer-centric marketing & communications activities
- Leads a geographically and culturally diverse team of skilled marketing professionals to develop and implement programs designed to positively impact the business.
- Drive strategic and tactical internal and external communications activities in support of broad Nokia Networks market priorities
- Strategic partner and adviser to CO Market head, CO Market leadership team; visible MCA leader in the market
- Ensures message alignment across internal Nokia teams and external facing communications activities
- Supports external outreach activities with key stakeholders
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provide leadership of the marketing & communications portion of the MCA function for the market by acting as a strategic partner and adviser to CO Market head, CO market leadership team and others as needed & required.
- Lead and direct internal communications activities to increase employee engagement in the market
- Lead and direct customer-centric marketing activities across the market to build Nokia's reputation, image and pipeline with customers
- Track, report and optimize the Return on Investment (measured through lead generation and support, customer perception change etc) from customer marketing activities
- Lead and direct external communications activities in the market to build Nokia’s reputation and image with external stakeholders
- Lead a high performing team of marketing and communications experts of the market
- Lead and support on ongoing mode of operations and business-focused communications efforts in support of Nokia’s goals; Delivers tools and processes in support of these goals
- Ensures message alignment across Nokia’s functions in the market and between market & global teams
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for all marketing and communications activities, objectives and metrics in the market
- Supports and leads team of MCA experts at market level; drives the creation and delivery of integrated marketing solutions, business & market intelligence activities and creation of strategies to meet business targets across the marketing mix
- Advisor to the CO Market head and the CO Market LT with own opinion. Not shy to raise own opinion and to challenge the Market LT as needed, and at the same time diplomatic enough to find the right tone and message.
- Leads work teams and/or task forces in marketing organization; prioritizes and allocates resources according to the strategic needs.
- Applies broad and in- depth business management knowledge to resolve problems.
- Has overall responsibility for market-focused messaging, internal messages and functional communication plans, speeches and presentations for corporate issues at the market level
- Drives strategic and tactical internal and external communications activities in support of broad market and Nokia priorities, such as employee engagement activities, executive communications, change communications, media relations and more
- Leads issues management across the market; directs a team of communications and government relations professionals to address external activities (such as with media, analyst and other external stakeholders)
- Support senior executive visits to the market with press and other activities
- Act as one of main company spokespeople in the market
- Responsible for employee engagement and continuous competence/knowledge renewal in MCA market.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- At least 12 years of experience
- Experience in a fast paced and change oriented industry, with extensive experience in communications and marketing
- Proven leadership in change situations
- Expert coaching skills and the ability to support senior leadership in a commercial environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both internal and external
- Crisis and change communications experience a must
- Commercial awareness with a strong passion for customer focus and its enhancement throughout an organization
- Educated to a minimum of degree level
