The team you'll be part of
The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia’s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
You will be part of our Subsystems Organization. We are designing optical interface modules for DWDM transmission systems. For that you will be integrated in a multi skilled team of electrical, optical and software engineers developing miniaturized optical transmitter modules used in telecommunication systems.
What you will learn and contribute to
Are you passionate about solving problems?
As part of our team, you will:
- Develop leading-edge packaging platform for high-speed coherent optical transmission systems
- Concept development, detailed optoelectronic design including analysis of component and processing tolerances, prototyping and transfer to manufacturing
- Programming of supervision and control functions on FPGA platforms in support of solutions for performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and time-to-market
- Engage with both internal and external teams to support new product designs for manufacturing
Your skills and experience
You have/are:
- Master/doctoral degree in physics, electrical engineering or a related field
- Expertise with optical and RF/microwave simulation and analysis tools
- Confident and comfortable in both modeling/simulation and experimental work, with hands-on attitude in supporting design verification and pilot production
- Good knowledge of FPGA functionalities and expertise with FPGA programming
- Lab experience with high-frequency test setups and measurement equipment desired
- Very good English skills fluent in spoken and written
