Nokia Software Device Management Product group is looking for a technical student intern for the IoT / IMPACT platform to assist with developing new product ideas and demos.
Summer 2021 - May to August
Job Responsibilities & Competencies
Can include, but are not limited to:
Write Java, Python or C code to create a prototype software for IoT/M2M device data collection, processing, visualization and analytics.
Configure device modules such as Raspberry Pi, run IoT software on them to communicate with the Nokia’s IMPACT IoT platform running on-premise or in the cloud.
Coordinate with product architect and product manager to design and implement prototypes.
Must be proficient with the following:
Java
Eclipse or equivalent development environment
GitHub and Source Code Control concepts
Hands on experience with Linux platform and tools
Qualifications
Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or equivalent program (electrical/computer engineering, etc.)
Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Be able to work out of the Austin, TX office
Desired skills:
Docker, Kubernetes
Bash and shell scripting, JavaScript, Python, C/C++
Using Amazon Webservices (AWS) or equivalent cloud platform
Using Databases (SQL language exposure desired)
User Interface technologies (e.g. React.js) and some experience implementing UIs
Exposure to data/analytics technologies a plus (Kafka, Spark, NoSQL)
Exposure to networking protocols and tools a plus (HTTP, TCP, UDP, Wireshark)
