This position is part of the IP Routing and Transport Competency Center, which works closely with technical sales and IP/MPLS/SDN product management team to help effectively position IP/MPLS/SDN products in the North America region. More specifically this position will primary focus on technical support to customers in the Electrical Utility, Transportation and State & Local Government segments and US Regional Service Providers.

The candidate will be required to be responsive to the technical needs of our customers, target market segments and their sales teams, have knowledge of the technical aspects of solutions and customer use-cases, be completely self-motivated and able to operate in an independent manner with minimal supervision. The candidate will often be in the position to drive required next-steps toward technical acceptance of Nokia solutions with customers directly or via the Sales and Sales engineering teams. A deep and comprehensive technical knowledge of IP, MPLS and SDN is a must for this position.
The role includes the following:
 This position is for a Subject Matter Expert(SME) in IP/MPLS/SDN who will work closely with the sales teams to technically position IP/MPLS/SDN products and solutions within the account, articulating product technical capabilities, features and functionalities;

-    Once an opportunity is identified, the CC CE/BD is responsible for developing technical acceptance strategy based on ALU best practices and product or solution differentiators;

-    Candidate must be able to meet with influential customer decision makers and communicate verbally or via presentation tools the exact details of Nokia’s IP/SDN product capabilities and the specific solutions being offered to customer;

-    Perform regular and ongoing assessment of the target markets opportunities providing recommendations, developing and implementing programs in collaboration with other organizations which will drive market share and revenue growth;
-    Develop a strong understanding of competitive landscape, and participate on the development of market segments specific penetration strategies;

-    Regular and ongoing interaction with PLMs, Marketing, Sales and Channels to understand the market, optimally position the product and define the necessary feature set;

-   Candidate must be prepared to feed accurate product development feedback into product line management based on current and anticipated customer requirements;
-    Candidate must conduct sales support effort with maximum integrity, ensuring that product capabilities are accurately represented to customer and that Nokia can deliver proposed solutions in the anticipated time frame;
-    Candidate will work jointly with many other organizations and groups within Nokia to develop interworking end-to-end solutions;
-    Candidate must be extremely flexible, often juggling multiple opportunities and several accounts with conflicting priorities.
    Minimum four-year degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science (or related technical degree and/or equivalent experience). Master degree in Electrical Engineering is a nice to have.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 8+ years of experience working for Service Providers, Enterprise or Government engineering or IT organizations, or as a customer facing system/sales engineer (or consulting systems engineer, technical engineer, etc.)  in an IP focused role.  Candidate must have strong IP/MPLS routing skills with solid experience on L2/L3 LAN/WAN design/architecture. Working knowledge of security/firewall, SDN, Netconf/Yang, Openflow, telemetry, virtualization and orchestration (VMware, OpenStack and KVM) is an asset.
