In this role, you will be part of our Enterprise Applications team, responsible end to end for Nokia's applications’ portfolio, used across all Business Groups and Functions. Our current mission is to simplify and modernize our application portfolio and to transform into a fast moving, product-oriented and customer-focused technology organization.

IT ERP Test and Cutover Manager

IT ERP Test and Cutover Manager position offers a great experience in a team that delivers about 70 projects a year around SAP and surrounding applications, with different delivery models (delivered by internal teams only, by external teams mainly, or mixed), variety of complexity levels and duration (a project can last from few months to few years). Most of the projects are about existing applications development, but also new technology applications get deployed, which often is accompanied with a need to adjust existing processes/mode of operation to a new, more standard one.


The overall objective for this position is to have a strong IT Test and Cutover Manager ensuring successful project Test and Cutover Planning and Execution primarily in the projects for Brazil in the area of SAP and surrounding applications. The candidate must be able to manage testing and cutover in multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate must ensure all testing and cutover requirements and deliverables are managed appropriately and testing and cutover is completed on time and in quality. The candidate must also be able to manage changing priorities, multiple stakeholders and suppliers.

IT Test and Cutover Manager needs to work very closely with the IT Project Manager and project team (consisting of Nokia IT and business, and often suppliers) who will define testing scope, execute testing and fix defects, as well as support cutover preparation and execution.


Key Responsibilities / Functions:

- Prepare high level and detailed testing schedule, taking into account dependencies like system refreshes, etc.

- Prepare test plan

- Coordinate test scope, scenarios, scripts and master data definition

- With IT PM and project team, ensure required testers are identified and allocated

- Coordinate tester access rights to testing environments

- Set up test management tool (primarily HP ALM QC) for project, train project team on testing process and test management tool, provide project team test management tool access, ensure test management tool is updated with testing progress (including defects).

- Manage different test phases (system integration, user acceptance, regression testing, occasionally unit testing). Track testing progress including defect resolution.

- Host testing sessions, as well as kick off, entry/exit criteria and sign off meetings.

- Ensure test related SOX control points are followed and documented

- Prepare Cutover plan in alignment with project team and release managers

- Collate cutover deliverables (transport plan and sequence, transport approvals, manual activities, back out plan, testing sign off documentation, knowledge transfer to Application Management supplier, firefighter access, etc.)

- Execute Cutover plan in cooperation with IT (Nokia internal and suppliers) and Business.

- Attend Change Approval Board and contribute to project presentation as required

- Arrange system downtime as required

- Test and cutover status reporting to IT PM, project team, project steering team, other stakeholders

- Manage testing and cutover risks and issues, set up and implement corrective action plan for risks mitigation and issues resolution

- Maintaining all relevant project testing and cutover documentation throughout the project life cycle



Qualifications - External


Job requirement

- Test and Cutover Management experience in Application development/deployment projects

- 5-10 years of Test and Cutover Management experience with a focus on Brazil projects

- Working with Nokia experience is a plus

- IT Project Manager experience is a plus

- PM certification is a plus

- Experience with HP ALM QC

- Application / solution architecture understanding

- Integrate information technologies into the company for optimal effectiveness

- Familiarity with Microsoft products, i.e. O365, Azure, MSProject Online, Power BI, etc.

- Experience of working within a multi-cultural environment

- Ability to work with and communicate to a variety of audiences

- Excellent oral and written communication / presentation skills

- Languages: English and Portuguese required

- Strong problem solving; self-organized.
