Functional Area
Networks Integrated Data Dictionary is used in managing reference information data which is CM data (parameters), PM data (counters, measurements, KPIs) and FM data (alarms, BTS Faults, cause codes). NIDD enables connecting all data types to common MOCs. 3GPP standards define the CIM (Common Information Model), which describes how managed elements of the cellular environment are represented as a common set of objects and relationships between them, meaning CM, PM and FM are not independent models, but rather, extensions of an integrated whole, as experienced by the customer. Alarms, measurements, counters and parameters are all anchored to the common MOC, and a single MOC is associated with all of these elements.
