Essential Skills:   
 
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related subjects.  Masters degree preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Good problem resolution skills.
Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
Candidate must have Permanent USA work authorization.
 
Desired:  
Familiarity with ECAD tool chains, simulation and synthesis tools, and with current generation high speed technologies including integrated FPGA SERDES and optical components.  Strong analog and digital debugging skills.  Prior experience designing and debugging communication systems ranging from 10Gb/s to multi-TB/s. Hands-on experience with a variety of optical, electrical,  and packet test equipment such as oscilloscopes, optical spectrum analyzers, and Ethernet testers.   Ability to work in a fast-paced R&D environment, and interact with systems engineers, FPGA developers, outside component vendors, and software coders. 
 
Key Tasks:
Circuit board design
FPGA Design
Optical component and subsystem specification, verification and qualification.
Write test reports, coordinate lab activities, and troubleshoot complex state-of-the-art electro-optical products.
Writing utilities to test and debug circuit cards, FPGAs and optical systems.
Interfacing with other teams to debug issues as they arise.
Operation and revision of test automation software (LabVIEW, Python)
