Job Description:

The ideal candidate should manage the product development and execute R&D programs according to the plans. He/she should lead the teams using Agile methodology and other applicable Nokia processes/methodologies, keen on pioneering the new, efficient solutions, while delivering value to the product. Manager also has responsibility over budgeting, career and competence development and recruitment and selection of members of his team. Responsibilities also include:

  • Daily contact with other stakeholders in the development, to enable the open communication.
  • Responsible for Interfacing with different business lines.
  • Implementing Agile organization and other Nokia methodologies
  • People Management, administration, HR relations
  • Objectives assignment for the team members
  • Performance evaluation
  • Salary appraisal
  • Personnel development plan
  • Competency development
  • Impediment removal
  • Overall coordination of daily work of business line’s team
  • Recruitment for engineers with various Job Profiles as required
  • Learn and gain expertise in Nokia’s end-to-end Product Creation Process
  • Managing team budget for equipment requirements, competence development, travel, team
  • building and other team-specific expenses.


  • Degree in BS/MS/Electronics/Electrical/Computer and Information Science/Telecom
  • Several years R&D experience with strong background in one or more of the software
  • Development phases such as specification, implementation, verification
  • Agile, scrum experience, Scrum Master Certification are preferred
  • Lead the team to success by removing obstacles
  • Committed to quality of the software developed by the team
  • Coach his/her team
  • Innovation spirit and facilitate innovation in his/her team
