Main Responsibility Area:
Executes the Supplier Base Management Concept in own area of responsibility based on stakeholder requirements and business needs. Secures best terms and conditions for material and services procured in area of responsibility in support of business goals and objectives. Build relationship with internal stakeholders, participate in their budgetinganalyze and evaluate spend history and future spend needs, gather and analyze market information on the relevant supply market
 
Job Description:
  • Support the execution of strategic sourcing activities
  • Provide data analysis and improvement recommendation for category spend
  • Secure highest standards in compliance and integrity
  • Work closely with NAM MPPM team to execute lowest cost sourcing plans.
  • Drive key sourcing metrics (Price, Quality, Logistics, Innovation and Risk).
  • Execute a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach to all procurement activities
  • Support supplier base reduction and simplification strategies.
  • Follow sourcing process in RFQ preparation and implementation.
  • Support benchmark pricing for area of expertise.
  • Prepare forecasts to anticipate supply problems and take preventive actions
  • Keep informed about new products, processes and recommend those that could be beneficial to company.
  • Prepare key metric reports for department
    Responsible for maintenance of all sourcing data within ERP system as it pertains to assigned products/spend categories and suppliers.
  • Provide guidance to others by communicating and reinforcing strategic and tactical procurement plans
  • Assign and Allocate work to the team
Additional Requirements:
 
               Pursue sustainable reduction in the total cost of items and services purchased
  • Ensure required supplier capacity and integration
  • Drive improvements in quality, competitiveness & service levels in the supplier base
  • Leverage and optimize spend across own category to meet business requirements
  • Interface with functional and business units to achieve on business specific targets in own area
  • Responsibility of defined category area / supplier base
  • Is responsible for the sourcing of materials, products or services of specified technology or product area by creating excellent supplier base with the best terms. 
  • Responsibility for creation, maintenance and execution of category strategy in responsibility area (as agreed)
  • Measures / budgetary measures: Unit Price savings % and absolute, Spend, Total Payable Days, SPI (supplier performance index)
  • Stakeholder Management
    Providing internal stakeholder organization with sourcing insights regarding the category.
    Leading sourcing projects to optimize spend and reduce Total Cost of Ownership
    Developing strong working relationships with internal stakeholder teams
    Working alongside internal stakeholders, category teams and suppliers to translate category insights into strategies which drive performance in cost, cash, quality and innovation.
  • Supplier base management and supplier performance management
    Supplier base management and supplier performance in responsibility area (act as Supplier Manager to assigned suppliers); 
    Managing a portfolio of suppliers and developing appropriate strategies for each supplier where required.
    Manage negotiations of pricing, terms and conditions, supplier related claims (where applicable) and contracting in responsibility area
    Manage supplier selection process in responsibility area
    Ensures activities meet relevant regulations, legal requirements, internal controls and SOX controls
    Ensures cost, availability, innovation and quality within supplier base according to target setting and business needs 
  • Market information and analysis
    Has good market information analysis skills and supply market knowledge
    Ensures alignment, anticipates changes and drives activities based on supply market changes
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management / Business Management / Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years + of progressive supply chain experience in a global manufacturing environment with proven track record.
  • Exposure to manufacturing operations.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Ability to speak and present effectively to peers and Senior Management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill
  • Proficiency in ERP and MS Office applications
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and comfortable working in a multicultural environment
