Required Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)    

 

  • A degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering (B.S. + experience is ok, M.S. preferred)

  • At least 3 years of experience in Network Management Systems

  • Optical Communication knowledge and experience

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Fluency in English

     

Network:

 

  • The candidate will be at the front end of the R&D process, directly reporting to an R&D Technical manager in the area of Optical Network Management

  • The candidate will have a peer relationship with Network Element Developers and Systems engineers

  • The candidate will have a peer relationship with Product Management teams

  • Interactions with all teams is expected daily

         

Competence Requirements:

 

  • Optical Network Element knowledge and experience

  • Systems Engineering experience including creation of specifications for development

  • Software Development experience is desirable

  • Optical Networking Standards and Modeling Knowledge and Experience (G.709, Netconf, YANG, TAPI 2, )

  • Agile/Scrum methodology
