Overview


As a Customer Engineering Intern, you will work on Nokia's industry-leading SDN / SD-WAN solution, in close collaboration with the world's largest cloud service providers, Internet service providers, large enterprises and end customer. It is an exciting opportunity where you help solve problems and design solutions for complex networks and high-performance technical environments. You will collaborate with various teams on internal and external projects to identify areas for improvement. Ultimately, you will improve how our organization and business operates to help better support and service our Customer.


Our team is growing rapidly, and we need interns with a great attitude to learn how it works the Nuage Virtualized Services Platform solution. The intern will be part of the Nokia Customer Engineering team as Nuage CE Trainee to plan and execute daily tasks to achieve common objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


 Projects will be based on Nuage SDN/SD-WAN products. The trainee will be responsible for:


  • Interface with NPI, NI, TPM and design teams (Regional).

  • Create reports related to the tasks and activities of the internal areas.

  • Identifies and analyzes the needs of the client. Site Surveys creation when it may be required.

  • Identify the deliverables under your responsibility. Plan and execute these deliverables.

  • Follow and provide the best design practices.

  • Provides technical support to internal Customer Engineering teams, such as NPI, NI, TPM and Design. In addition to sales, pre-sales, PMs, among others.

     

    TECHNICAL SKILLS


  • Knowledge of Networking in L2/L3, IP routing (ISIS/OSPF/BGP/MP-BGP), MPLS-RSVP/LDP, ACL, and QoS.

  • Hands-on knowledge of Linux operating systems (REDHAT/CENTOS/FEDORA/DEBIAN).

  • Hands-on experience with the installation of Hypervisors (KVM/VMware ESXi/Hyper-V).

  • Hands-on knowledge of Cloud Management Systems (VMware/Openstack/Container).

  • Knowledge of EVPN, VxLAN and  Vswitch technologies.

  • Knowledge of scripting language like Python/PERL/BASH/XML.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS


  • B. Sc. Degree in Computer, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent disciplines.

  • Excellent communication skills verbal & written and documentation.

  • Ability to understand new technology concepts and subjects easily.

  • Team player, and able to work on own initiative.

  • Fluent in English is a must. Proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.
