Job function
 
Lead Solution Architect in the GS Operate & Managed Service (O&MS) Unit as part of the  Managed Operations Engineering team has to define the most appropriate tooling architecture supporting execution of ‘Operate & Managed Services’ business.
The Blueprint document describes the Mode of Operations for end-to-end service execution covering organization, processes and tools. This Blueprint is considered as a key inputs for pre-sales activities building up offer, and post-sales activities ensuring the business transformation at the contract signature.
The Lead Solution Architect will be a key contributor in defining the most appropriate O&MS tool architecture addressing following aspects:
  • Competitively of the delivery model considering customer expectations balanced with market competitors.
  • Efficiency and benefits associated to the delivery model considering the level of automation.
  • Innovation considering telecom and IT technology trends and how it can be for the benefits of O&MS business.
 
This is a senior position responsible for establishing the future of reference tooling architecture required for digital transformation within O&MS business, and developing a strong interconnect to O&MS service portfolio leads and internal & external partners for key platforms integrated in the end-to-end architecture.
 
Main responsibilities
 
  • Designs tooling architecture for Operate & Managed Services;
  • Ensures proper alignment with O&MS Service portfolio leads on the proposed architecture;
  • Ensures detailed description of the proposed architecture in support to pre-sales and post-sales transformation teams;
  • Identifies and documents key architecture enablers with related proof-of-concept work;
  • Identifies and develops interfaces with the market and with selected key suppliers to enable technology availability to ensure short- and long competitive advantage for O&MS;
  • Ensures cross service units alignment on architecture topics with strong architectural guidance leveraging solutions or use cases for the benefits of O&MS business.

Qualifications
 
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in architecture creation and services, deep knowledge of and management in complex environment
  • Excellent leadership skills as well as problem solving and decision making skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive, influence, and implement new product ideas
  • Able to interface with internal customers and 3rd party partners to understand opportunities and use cases
  • Strong ability to interface with and synthesize messages for executive level management, both internally and with customers
  • Innovation, entrepreneur and “out of the box thinking” mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Works well under pressure
  • Able to drive activities in a global environment, leveraging the strengths of staff and peers
  • Manage quality, timeline, and commitments with good predictability
