Optical Networks Business Development Manager
Qualifications:
- 10 to 20 years of increasing responsibility in delivering networking solutions including optical, photonic, Ethernet and IP transport offering to market units in ASIA, with particular focus to but not exclusively Australia/New Zealand
- Demonstrable experience and success track in business development position, with accountabilities on business objectives (order/sales/margin)
- Detailed knowledge and experience in the optical, Ethernet and IP/MPLS networking architectures of Service Providers and major Enterprise.
- Proficient in photonic networking, OTN transport date plane, management plane and control plane technologies.
- Solid understanding of industry ecosystem in terms of competitors, relevant players and their associated strategy.
- Strong consulting and presentation skills to work with external and internal customers
- Ability to analyze opportunities with a broad and strategic view; ability to integrate business and technology requirements
- Possessing high-level, out-of-the-box thinking, analytical reasoning, and creative problem solving skills.
- Ability to shift from high-level to very detailed and execution focused action plans
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills: ability to communicate technology strategy and value propositions to customer engineers and executives; communication skills to include conflict management, negotiation, presentation/demonstration, and written communication.
- Willingness and ability to work with teams, ability to build relationships using an open and respectful communication and collaboration style.
- Demonstrable leadership skills to include coaching/mentoring/teaching, critical thinking/judgment, facilitation, leading change, and team development.
