QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
- Installation/configuration/administration of various OS such as Unix, Linux, Windows, etc
- Know-how of database administration and maintenance (Oracle, Sybase, MySQL)
- Know-how of virtual environments such as esxi, openstack, etc.
- Knowledge of the most common network protocols
- Knowledge in northbound interface principles such as SOAP, REST API with XML and JSON, etc.
- Knowledge of network management protocols such as SNMP, Netconf, YANG, etc.
- Task automation and scripting technique is appreciated
- Written and spoken English is a must
- Understanding of IP/MPLS network principles
- Know how in following OSS/NMS Applications would be an advantage
- Nokia 5620 SAM
- Nokia 5650 CPAM
- Nokia 5670 RAM
- Nokia NSP NFM-P
- OSS provisioning and inventory tools such as Netcracker
- OSS Fault management such as EMC Smarts, HP TeMIP, etc.
- OSS performance management such as InfoVista
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY & OTHERS
- Be in the fore-front for new technologies such as SDN/NFV and have the right aptitude and willingness to acquire new knowledge and skills.
- Good business understanding in vendor or/and operator/service provider environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem solving skills and working experiences on test equipments.
- Clearly communicate (verbal and written) in English.
- Self-motivated and self-development/learning.
- Comfortable to meet and discuss solutioning/technology and technical escalation (network outage and resolution) with senior management in both company and customers
- Able to work independently and also in a team; where needed, double-up as Tech Lead/TPM.
- Able to manage activities under high pressure and critical deadlines.
- Able to handle several important tasks at the same time.
- Able to deal with a complex organization structure within the organisation.
- Able to look at different factors and prioritize tasks.
- Able to influence to get the right outcomes.
- Possess strong customer management relation skills and able to develop and maintain the strong relationships within the organisation and with Customers.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor in Computer Networking Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent
- 5 years or more experiences in OSS and NMS in telco industry domain
- OSS integration experience would be an advantage
