We seek an NPO Automation agile product owner to our development team responsible for delivery of high quality software solutions meeting the requirements of the business and aligning with product vision and strategy.

 

As the primary interface between the business and a multi-location development organization the product owner will work within the project team to ensure features are specified and implemented to delight our customers. The product owner will have strong influence on the product vision and roadmap and be expected to have a deep understanding of telecommunications service business and be able to translate these into unambiguous user stories and requirement's that meet the needs of development. 

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

 

  • Delivery, maintenance and communication of product vision and release plans
  • Agile team backlog prioritization
  • Analyze customer needs
  • Author Architecture, Data Definition and other documents in support of requirements work
  • Definition of development user stories
  • Acceptance Test software for new features, after all other Test phases are complete to confirm Software is acceptable as per the requirements
  • Release plan status reporting

 

  • Providing a voice of the customer to development
  • Interfacing with Service Product Managers, Solution Architects and customer teams in the Business Units, as needed, to understand platform use cases and feature requirements
  • Break down major requirements in to small incremental value-add features and prioritize with stakeholders

 

  • Contribute to service and solution business case development

 

  • Ability to quickly understand technical issues and communicate with development teams
  • Methodical skills with attention to detail when undertaking work activities
  • Be available to development teams to quickly answer queries or negotiate solutions

 

  • Enthusiastic promotion of a software product including hands-on demonstrations
  • Excellent presentation, networking and communication skills
  • High energy, initiative, enthusiasm and persistence.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Bachelor´s Degree and/ or relevant equivalent experience  
  • Agile development methodologies
  • 5-10 years’ experience in the mobile telecommunications industry
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Excellent English language skills

 

Preferred skills

 

  • Product ownership previous experience
  • Recognized agile qualification such as CSPO
  • Experience working in a large, multi-cultural, multi-location environment
