Job Description:

Our mission is to provide the cloud native platform and services to deploy our NSW applications across public cloud environments and customer data centers. You will be part of the development team responsible for creating and supporting these solutions. You will be required to perform analysis, implementation, evolution and validation of the solutions.


Job Responsibilities & Competencies:

Your role is to implement, evolve, and develop our cloud native platform, working closely with both our NSW cloud infrastructure product teams as well as supporting third party K8S environments. You will enjoy a great deal of autonomy and will be encouraged to take on responsibility. You will be exposed to a lot of technologies (Kubernetes, Helm, Go) and will have the opportunity to learn and develop expertise in them.


The Program Manager has the following responsibilities:
  • Working with multi-disciplinary program team, develops the program plan and leads the program milestone decision preparation, pre-reviews and review sessions.
  • Ensure program risk management is in place and pro-actively manages mitigation activities,
  • Fosters collaboration between teams and system-level stakeholders,
  • Following the SaFe methodology, the Program Manager will act as the Release Train Engineer (RTE), leading and facilitating Program Increment (PI) planning readiness.
  • Manages and optimizes the flow of value through the Agile Release Train (ART) by delivering features, Improvements, Proof of Concept, etc.
  • Drives the ART Scrum of Scrums meeting and tracks execution of ART deliverables via periodic synchronization meetings.
  • Escalates and tracks ART impediments, helps to manage risks and dependencies across teams - takes execution decisions impeding deliveries across teams.
  • Facilitates relentless improvement for the ART via Inspect and Adapt workshops
  • Fosters Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices
  • Ensures common practices are followed across teams (e.g. Tools, Templates, Method of Operation, etc.)
  • Facilitates Program Kanban​ and collaborates with other RTE's in the Solution Train.

Finally, because we are an international company, you will often have to interact with teams located abroad. Supporting technical conversations in English and knowing how to work with people from different cultures are therefore essential.

 
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of program/project management experience.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in Integration/Deployment, technical support, and technical project management.
  • 1+ year experience managing a project using the SaFe Methodology or Agile Development.
  • SaFe Program Consultant (SPC) Certification
  • Software Engineer degree or MS in computer science
  • Operating system: Linux / CentOS.
  • Cloud / Virtualization: Helm, Docker, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, Harbor, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware, ...
  • DevOps: Jenkins, Git, Gerrit
  • Excellent communication skills and team player.
  • Fluent in English
  • A strong command of the English language is required and excellent communication and interpersonal skill.
