Nokia Investment Management Corporation

Nokia Investment Management Corporation (“NIMCO”), a subsidiary of Nokia, employs a 24-member staff with strong backgrounds in investments, financial management, and investment operations.  NIMCO is responsible for the oversight of the investments of the pension plans, the 401(k) plans and certain other benefit assets of Nokia totaling approximately $31b.  NIMCO maintains offices in Boston, Massachusetts and in Murray Hill, New Jersey.  The position can be based out of either location.


The individual in this position will be part of the team responsible for managing the public market and absolute return asset classes of the Lucent Master Pension Trust (defined benefit), 401k and other benefit trusts.  The existing public market asset classes include global equity, fixed income and absolute return (hedge fund) investments.  This position, which reports to the Director, Investments, and takes direction on a day to day basis from a Senior Manager, will:


  • Participate in and support public markets due diligence and oversight
  • Prepare portions of and coordinate quarterly performance reporting
  • Work with Operations to resolve manager reporting / reconciliation issues with custodian
  • Process public market investment management fees
  • Other ad hoc projects, reporting and presentations, as needed

 Skills Required:

            Detail Oriented

            Excellent MS PowerPoint/Word/Excel skills       

            Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

            Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines

            Investments/Pension background preferred (understanding of key concepts)

Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance

Progress towards CFA and/or CAIA

0-2 years experience preferably in an investment or finance position

Location: Candidate should be located in: Murray Hill, NJ; or Boston, MA.
