Overview

The Remote Framework is Nokia´s customer connectivity solution and connects 17.000 internal Nokia employees to more than 400 of our customers. The Remote Framework focusses on secure connectivity, legal compliance, export control and data privacy compliance and is a part of a complex echo system to realize that.

 

The Remote Framework contains several software components/subsystems that interact with variety of applications as well as users (Nokia engineers) by producing a service such as human access to telco equipment. Service automation is the clear focus for the future. The platform is globally distributed and serves users from 6 datacenters and 70 servers.

 

Technology used varies, depending on component/subsystem, today in scope are MS platforms, linux distributions (mainly redhat) and Openstack cloud.


Product Data Collection/Script Integration Manager

The Remote framework team is responsible for extracting data from Nokia’s Network Management Systems and Network Elements installed in customers networks. The Data Collection Architect/Manager will take the requirements from the Service Business Owners and interface with NetAct Product teams (primarily the Configuration Management, Performance Management and Fault Management teams) and Core/Radio product teams to obtain information on the product that would enable script developers to implement the most efficient method of data generation/extraction.

The Data Collection Architect/Manager follows NetAct roadmaps and versions and adapt proactively the data collection works with multiple customer NetAct and Network Element versions.

Verifies the data collection requirements end-to-end. Being accountable to define how data collection operates and defining and approving changes.

Responsible to raise features requests towards NetAct and Network Element product management when product changes are necessary.

 

Technical Skills Required

·    Excellent Network Management System (NetAct) knowledge. Specifically, CM, PM & FM (Configuration Management, Performance Management and Fault Management) knowledge. 5yrs experience

·    Northbound (CORBA, SOAP & REST) Interface specification knowledge. 3yrs experience

·    Ability to analyse technical documentation, identify and extract relevant information

·    Experience of 2G/3G/4G Network Systems. 3yrs

·    Product Data Collection and Script Integration Management with R&D Engineers and Product Managers.

·    Contribute to the development of script specifications, experience in script version management

·    Test case specification

·    Data collection documentation

·    Project Management experience
