Desired Skills:
- Good understanding of Uplink/Downlink power link budget. Its implementation and how the MAPL is derived.
- Understanding of Path loss/Shadow fade margin/Log fade margins/processing gain and handoff gains.
- Understanding of cell coverage with respect to BLER and receiver sensitivity.
- Good understanding of the various propagation models/model tuning and propagation calibration using CW measurements.
- Been a part of nominal cell planning team with experience in setting up clutter and terrain data in the planning tool.
- Experience in importing traffic models and generating predictions for various traffic distribution for mixed services.
- Understanding of Antenna theory, Antenna patterns and impacts of electrical and mechanical tilts.
- Pre and Post Optimization of the design with optimal resource usage and placement of cells to cover relevant areas. Issuing of search area rings after the initial design is complete. Proficiency in Radio Parameter tuning to improve KPI's for following vendors: ALU, Nokia Siemens, Ericsson, Huawei, ZTE.
- Good understanding of Call Setup process, Physical, Logical and Transport channels, Power control parameters, Handover parameters, IRAT parameters, Cell Selection and Reselection parameters.
- Hands on Exp with Layer 3 message analysis and providing recommendations based on Layer 3 analysis.
- Proficiency in Post Processing tools preferably Actix, X-CAP, Gladiator, LDAT, TEMS etc.
- Proficiency in using N/W Monitoring/Performance tools for ALU, NSN Ericsson etc.
