Position Description:

MME/SGSN Feature Testing team is looking for a passionate Senior Test engineer to join the local Athens team to test and verify the MME/SGSN cloud application. The Feature Testing team is responsible for all the functional testing, including select aspects of OAM and stress testing on all new features and releases of the product. The successful candidate will work with developers and testers as part of a global team which develops new cloud versions for MME/SGSN and will be responsible for analyzing product requirements, designing overall test scope, implementing, automating and executing of test cases.

A strong personal dedication to excellence as well as a strong team spirit are both necessary elements to complete the challenging work at hand, reach milestones on time whilst satisfying customer requirements with the outmost levels of quality.


Key Responsibilities / Functions:

  • Act as lead tester and overall quality gatekeeper for Cloud MME/SGSN releases
  • Work with developers and architects to understand and assist in defining new features
  • Define overall feature testing scope and go through review rounds with all involved stakeholders
  • Assist in coordinating overall feature and release testing with Stress and Interoperability testing teams
  • Responsible for all functional end-to-end testing as well as basic stress testing
  • Responsible for test case design, execution, optimization, automation, defect reporting and tracking
  • Work with project managers to track critical and time-sensitive issues and ensure quick resolution
  • Troubleshoot CI smoke and regressions issues and process defects as needed

Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge) 

  • BSc in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent degree or work experience
  • Preferable technical background in telecommunications (ideally in Packet Core)
  • At least 5 years of experience in functional end-to-end testing
  • At least 3 years of experience in test script automation, Robot, Python, TCL, Perl
  • Preferably proficient in 2G, 3G, 4G call flows and 3GPP specifications
  • Experienced with Cloud technologies such as CloudBand, OpenStack, Red Hat Linux, etc.
  • Experienced with virtualization technologies such as VMware and KVM
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Dedication and team spirit, self-motivated and ability of working independently
  • Excellent verbal and written English
