Job Description :
 
The WDM product group is the world’s number one producer of WDM equipment. This team is enabling the technology to further enhance network flexibility and operational automation in a very fast growing and competitive environment.
Currently, the SWDM product group has an opportunity for a  senior software developer in the 1830 PSS embedded software development team.
 
Key Responsibilities / Functions:
1. Design and develop application software in C++ for the 1830 embedded software
2. Participate in SW feature integration and validation
3. Support validation, customer and product teams
 
Specialized knowledge required:
- Working experience on embedded system development platforms such as Linux
- Extensive experience developing application software in C++ software on carrier grade products is required
- Experience in developing application for controlling optical components is highly desirable.
-Experience in developing application software that simulates real product is required
- Previous experience with Agile practices and processes
- Experience developing Python & Tcl/Tk (in addition to C++) is a plus
- Strong capability to learn new technical areas and products and to work with many different personalities and ensuring project commitments are met on time and with high quality.
- Superior communication skills, both technical and non-technical 
- Understanding of real time OS programming and SW architecture, FPGA and ASIC design and applications.
- -Experience in developing application for encryption is highly desirable.
