Senior Technical Writer
- Bachelor’s degree in English, technical writing, computer science, or related engineering field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical writing.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to lead own projects and to communicate and work effectively with leaders, internal customers, and peers.
- Outstanding understanding of the technical communication profession, information development process, and writing principles and standards.
- Must work well with SMEs and interface with engineers with extensive product knowledge
- Ability to work:
- Under pressure and to easily adapt to changes in priorities, projects, and processes.
- Efficiently and proactively under limited direction.
- Experience in telecommunications documentation and software applications is an asset.
- Can accommodate occasional crunch time during deliveries, offset by work periods with a less demanding schedule.
- Proficiency with XML authoring using ArborText or Oxygen, and on-help development systems.
- Defect-tracking system (e.g., Jira). Content check-in systems like Git is desirable.
- Wiki (Confluence, TWiki, etc.)
- Knowledge with Agile and DevOps software development with continuous delivery.
- Familiar with HTML language
