Qualifications:
 
General Requirements  
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, technical writing, computer science, or related engineering field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical writing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to lead own projects and to communicate and work effectively with leaders, internal customers, and peers.
  • Outstanding understanding of the technical communication profession, information development process, and writing principles and standards.
  • Must work well with SMEs and interface with engineers with extensive product knowledge
  • Ability to work:
    • Under pressure and to easily adapt to changes in priorities, projects, and processes.
    • Efficiently and proactively under limited direction.
  • Experience in telecommunications documentation and software applications is an asset.
  • Can accommodate occasional crunch time during deliveries, offset by work periods with a less demanding schedule.
Technical Requirements  
  • Proficiency with XML authoring using ArborText or Oxygen, and on-help development systems.
  • Defect-tracking system (e.g., Jira). Content check-in systems like Git is desirable.
  • Wiki (Confluence, TWiki, etc.)
  • Knowledge with Agile and DevOps software development with continuous delivery.
  • Familiar with HTML language
  • Windows
