Job Description
The Solutions Architect acts as a trusted advisor partnering with the customers on their needs. Understands and captures the critical inputs of stakeholders and translates them into effective requirements and solutions. Specifies and designs effective end-to-end solutions incl. customer-specific adaptations by using the Nokia portfolio of products, systems and / or services as well as 3rd party products where required. Applies solution architecture standards, processes, and principles to create and maintain a solution's (technical) integrity over time.

Job Responsibilities & Competencies


Key Tasks and Activities:

  • Create and own the end-to-end high level design (HLD) with Nokia systems and third-party systems for realization of desired requirements.
  • Co-ordinate and work closely with Domain Architects working on different parts of solution (IP, EPC, SDM, IMS, VoX, EMS and Security) and other internal stakeholders to create low level design (LLD) and implement each domain system according to the HLD.
  • Participate in customer meetings, discusses the solution to customer, handles customer queries, gathers customer requirements and maps it to the overall solution.
  • Able to identify, manage the risks in the design/delivery of the solution and assures customer satisfaction.
  • Able to propose customization solution should there be any gap in the agreed solution.
  • Responds to escalations and any exceptions arises during Solution development, delivery to go-live support in a professional manner
  • Acts as a professional leader for staff / work team / taskforces, often the most senior specialist in a team, who serves as best practice resource within own organizational unit and / or is recognized as an expert within the same professional area in the business.



  • Good knowledge on 4G/LTE, EPC, SDM, IMS and VoX.
  • 5G core knowledge is an added advantage to this role
  • Experienced in delivering Policy Control and Packet Core projects is a must.
  • Good knowledge of Open Stack Cloud platform, onboarding of VNFs, CNFs and life cycle management.
  • Experienced in delivering other Core network functions (e.g. IMS, VoX, SDM) is a plus.
  • Good background on the System Integration, protocols,3GPP specifications/RFCs and troubleshooting tools.
  • Good knowledge on IP networking (switching and routing, understanding of VLAN, security)
  • Good understanding of ETSI NFV architecture in telco environment (vEPC, vIMS, vSDM)
  • Experience in NOKIA Cloud Band implementation, CBIS ,CBAM,CBND,NCM or NCS is having high advantage
