Job Responsibilities & Competencies


You will be the Lead Architect for Digital Trust – iSim.  You will be:

  • Responsible for architecting, designing and building scalable microservices solution with multi-tenancy, cloudified, high availability, highly reliable, high performance, highly secure, manageability, maintainability, extensibility and simple to use SaaS solution
  • Serve as a technical solution architect, develop telecom application that can handle robust fault tolerance, resiliency and high availability by apply software development best practices to raise the quality of the product, management of eSIM RSP program & lead the development team and define product evolution
  • As a technical leader, provide an in-depth technical expertise on eSIM/iSIM RSP architecture, profile creation, SIM OTA, key management, and security/cryptographic functions
  • Provide technical and leadership expertise to generate maintainable and quality solutions through documenting system architecture & requirements, creating application designs, validating high level designs to ensure accuracy and completeness against eSIM/iSIM RSP specifications & GSMA SAS Certification requirement
  • Serve as a technical leader in eSIM/iSIM RSP security, eSIM/iSIM RSP for Consumer & M2M specifications, deployment architecture, etc. Also, develop the process & technical documentation to meet eSIM/iSIM RSP certification requirements.
  • Work closely with the Product Management to build the solution that meets the customer requirements, shape the product technical vision and provide technical solutions that serve the business. Also, support account teams during sales cycle when required.
  • Evaluate new technologies, evangelize with prototypes and eventually get it integrated into the products where applicable. Keeping up-to-date with technical developments in the field (e.g. Cloud, Security, IoT, Mobility, etc.)
  • Accurately breaking down, estimating, and scheduling software tasks to ensure project goals are met on time, within budget and quality. Communicate task & project status to the team & drive solutions by working with developers & QA engineers
  • Responsible for overall development strategy, testing automation methodologies/strategy and deployment strategy by using continuous development methodology & DevOps.
  • Serve as a lead in industry forum (e.g. 3GPP, GSMA) and drive Nokia technical requirements for broader adoption, especially a fully virtualized Cloud solution. Bring & maintain expertise in technologies and products and their applicability to Nokia’s strategy/vision across multiple market segments
  • Involve in presales cases, working with customer team and provide the integration solution and estimate. Excellent skills in customer engagement and interactions with customer’s solution architects (operators and enterprises) as well as in leading customer workshops to formulate & drive possible win-win solutions and document results

 Required Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)  

  • Bachelor´s Degree or equivalent experience required, Candidate´s with Degree in a technical field (CS, EE, etc.) will be more relevant.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the skills below:
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
  • Solid software development experience in two or more programming languages
  • Distributed systems and data management.  Cloud computing.  Edge computing. 
  • Event sourcing based systems
  • Analytics
  • Monolithic application decomposition
  • Demonstrated skill in two or more programming languages.
  • Creative and problem-solving mind-set
  • Solid presentation skills. Ability to engage the hands-on technical experts. 
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal/team skills
  • Fluent in oral and written English.

Desired Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
  • Implementation experience with security tools like nmap, snort, OSSIM, Wireshark, tcpdump, elk, etc.
  • Practical Hands-on Experience in system integration
  • Architecture and/or implementation experience for cloud and network system.
  • Experience with ElasticSearch, Drools, Camunda
  • Experience with Git/Gerrit
  • Experience with Network Elements and Network Element Management Systems
  • Knowledge of network security
  • Knowledge of machine learning and anomaly detection
  • Experience with agile development process
  • Any certifications in security area are an asset
Location: Candidate should be located in: Ottawa, ON; or Austin, TX.
