Network:

For Solution Consultant for the North American market, they need to know about the new Networking technologies.  It is highly desirable to have knowledge in many or most of the following:

  • Cloud (OpenStack, Containers, Mobile Edge Computing),
  • OSS/BSS applications (analytics, service assurance, orchestration, etc),
  • 5G (network slicing, policy/payment, orchestration, security, analytics, etc),
  • Device management (eSIMs, IoT, customer care, etc),
  • Element management (NetAct and EdenNet SON),
  • Software development technologies (cloud native, telecommunications open source projects, commons software foundation, CI/CD, devops tool chains), and IMS (VoLTE, SBC, SDM).
 

Competence Requirements

  • Needs to be able to work with peers in the NAM pre-sales team to create offers.  This involves working with domain solution experts, and other members of the GBC to pull together offers. In many cases, leading architecture/solution teams.
  • Ability to work independently, ability to adapt quickly, positive attitude. Able to handle stressful situations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the NSW Pre-Sales method of operation.  The ideal candidate will already know all of the steps to work a customer opportunity through our process.
  • Good working knowledge of fixed, mobile and cable network architectures.
  • Portfolio knowledge. Nokia Software has dozens of products and while a solution consultant is not expected to be an expert in all of them, it is highly desired that the candidate has good working knowledge in the domains of Digital Experience, Digital Operations/Intelligence, Digital Experience, Digital Networks and Security with expertise in at least two different products.
