Product packaging and identification solutions team is responsible of packaging design for new products out from R&D. We also continuously seek out and execute improvements in supply network packaging efficiency. We own related specifications, concepts, processes and other guidance documentation. Our team is also in charge of identification labels and concepts in products and packages. Physical manifestation of these are barcodes, but main scope of work is with related processes, concepts and capabilities & functionality of IT-tools related to identification. Also dangerous goods transportation management (DGRm) concept belongs to our team.
SPECIALIST, PACKAGING DESIGN
General purpose

Our team is also in charge of identification labels and concepts in products and packages. We are now looking for a Packaging Designer.
Main responsibility area
Design, testing, documentation and implementation of product packages and transportation solutions for new and existing products.
Key task areas

Design, testing and documentation of product packing within R&D Product Programs
-
Design, testing and documentation of product packing and transportation solutions for cost saving re-designs
-
Influence external packaging designs through reviews and expert commentary
-
Ensure timely implementation of designed packages through co-operation with packaging suppliers and internal stakeholders

Supplement team of Helpdesk duty officers ; solve daily issues, provide advice, distribute specifications and guidelines as needed.

Participate to improvement of processes & practices through kaizen and Lean.

Mix of skills / experience

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in technically oriented position in a multicultural, virtual organization.

Package design - or Mechanical design experience

Understanding of product packaging design principles and materials

Previous usage of some 3D CAD-tool (Creo or Catia)

Experience in hardware product development (R&D) or in manufacturing
-
Experience in supply network - & logistics processes

Good technical writing skills
-
Experience in Kaizen and Lean practices & Quality tools
Education
Minimum B.Sc. in relevant technical field or equivalent work experience.
