Standardization Professional 5G Core Network
An ideal candidate has worked directly or indirectly with standards in the area detailed below, or related research or advanced product R&D studies, has experience in protocol design and in the 3GPP network architecture, and has a suitable academic degree (PhD or equivalent in telecommunications, computer sciences, or other relevant field).
An ideal candidate has innovative mind, wants to impact and shape the global 5G network, is excited of solving complex problems, and is not afraid of getting hands dirty in analyzing and proving the benefits of the concepts. The candidate should have the ability to learn from the colleagues, and at the same time courage to challenge the community with your own ideas. He or she is fluent in English and has strong communication skills both in writing and presentations.
Your responsibilities in the team will depend on your personal skills and interests, but there is a large set of challenges ahead. We hence look to strengthen our team in the following domain:
Standardization professional on 5G System and core networking protocols:
- defining and enhancing architectural solutions, APIs and protocols for the needs of 5G network and to fully take advantage of network function virtualization and latest cloud software advances
- providing and enhancing solutions and APIs for the access of vertical applications to the 3GPP network
- define the new network HTTP based APIs and enhancing existing HTTP based APIs and Diameter based protocols in those areas
- supporting our standardization efforts with leading research contributions and participation into standards forums such as 3GPP and willingness for related travel (up to 8 weeks each year).
