Summer Trainee (Student)
- Developing tool set for evaluation, experimentation and analysis of new transport protocols (e.g. QUIC, HTTP2) for latency-sensitive 5G core network control plane and its applications;
- Evaluating solutions for serverless computing for flexibly distributing applications and processing between edge and central cloud deployments in the 5G network;
- Studying/verifying selected 5G Vehicular telecommunications control related features such as side link connection management, resource allocation, QoS control, mobility management etc.
You may also be requested to conduct literature surveys on mobile communication related topics, linked with technical analysis. We offer an interesting opportunity to strengthen knowledge and expertise in the next-generation technology and in the related performance evaluations.
Having spent some years studying in a university or an equivalent institution, you already have a solid understanding of the basics on SW development and the fundamentals of telecommunications and cellular networks. Experience on Linux virtual/containerized environments and/or SW development with Matlab or C++ based simulation tools would be beneficial.
You are eager to learn more and interested in doing a variety of different kinds of tasks as part of your job. You are ready to share your knowledge and skills among the people you work with. You are a team worker but also efficient on independent tasks, and your English language skills allow you communicate efficiently in our multicultural environment.
