About Cyber Security at Nokia

In this role, you will be part of our Cyber Security team. We protect Nokia critical data and operations against security threats and guarantee the overall confidentiality, integrity and available of Nokia data. Our top focus today is to enable Nokia business to early adopt new digital technologies in a secure way. 

SW Developer for Business Group (BG) Security - Specific Role Description:

As a Cyber Security Developer you work closely with the business stakeholders to design and build methods to enhance their security posture, mainly in the area of R&D lab security. You enjoy working on a wide variety of security solutions and technology stacks.

Key Responsibilities:

The Cyber Security Developer is responsible for implementing state-of-the-art software solutions to ensure Nokia information is protected in line with the Nokia Information Security Policy.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Drive the Cyber Security automation software development lifecycle; defining, prioritizing, designing, implementing, and testing new features
  • Architect, design and implement scalable technical security solutions
  • Develop or implement open-source/third-party tools to assist in detection, prevention, analysis and mitigation of security threats
  • Design and build proof of concept prototype solutions
  • Validate security software solutions proposed by the business teams and IT or Nokia suppliers

Skill Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to take a project or significant feature from concept to launch
  • Strong and creative problem solving abilities
  • Strong technology insight with a full appreciation of how technology can enable positive business change
  • Deep understanding of software development methods, methodologies and technology
  • Excellent programming skills in Python
  • Interest and ability to learn other programming languages as needed
  • Expertise in Windows and Linux operating systems
  • TCP/IP networking knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with any of the following technologies is a plus:
    • configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef or Ansible
    • Openstack cloud computing
    • virtualization technologies like KVM and Vagrant
    • container technologies like Docker, LXC and Kubernetes
  • Ability to convey technical security concepts to non-technical audience

Role Related Expertise:

  • Multiple years of experience of working in an agile development environment
  • Proven work experience as a software engineer
  • Proficient in English
  • Willing to travel in line with the requirements of the role
