Job Position Summary Description:

 

Nokia’s French Tax Manager is responsible for independently managing the Company’s French taxes, including

•management of French companies’ tax audits (including responding to government document requests and doing technical analysis of Company positions),

•supporting in France specific tax matters related to CIT, VAT, WHT and PE issues,

•supporting in transfer pricing related matters,

•assisting with the implementation, design, and revision of tax-related processes and tools,

•reviewing the French entities’ cash flow projections and payment calculations,

•overseeing the preparation of the French group entities’ tax returns,

•supporting and assisting in quarterly tax reporting.

 

The French Tax Manager participates also in tax planning and business restructurings related discussions to support the managements’ decision making and acts as a substance matter owner in French tax projects and arranges trainings to the relevant Nokia teams about taxation.

 

This role involves working closely with various stakeholders like the French finance team, shared service organization, Europe region management and the global tax team The French tax manager liaises closely with the various teams to understand and highlight potential tax technical issues with proposed positions, transactions and new products.

Desired Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge):

- Undergraduate Degree in Accounting and/or Finance;

- Graduate Degree in Accounting/Finance/Law is an advantage;

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar tax management role working for a multinational company or working in a big 4 firm and with complex French tax issue ;

- Strong technical knowledge and experience in Transfer Pricing especially in global business;

- Deep knowledge of IFRS tax reporting in a multinational company;

- Detail-oriented with good intuitive reasoning skills;

- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, organizational, and research skills;

- Poised & relationship-oriented, works effectively in cross-functional & cross-border teams;

- Fluent in French and English.
