Our Fixed Networks (FN) business group provides an array of “gigabit to the home” solutions to deliver data access to our communication service provider (CSP) customers. This includes Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) as well as 5G fixed wireless access (FWA), xDSL and cable upgrades. We build solutions that don’t stop at the home but also bring that gigabit experience into the home using our meshed Wi-Fi solution. 



- Is the lead of the Technical Office to define installation procedures and provide support to the field supervisors and the subcontractor companies.


- Is responsible for the review and implementation of FTTH designs with the proper construction techniques in the different projects.


- Provides feedback to the Design Team and the subcontractors regarding the change of construction techniques and the updates in Designs


- Can support the construction surveys to have a clear view of the approach to follow in each deployment area


- Escalates issues to the Design Manager 


- Is the main contact for the Construction team in each project area to clarify issues, agree redesigns, clarify construction blockages, etc. 


- Supports the meetings and requests from Local Authorities regarding the construction requirements


- Ensures clarifications and questions from subco´s are handled properly and in adequate time 


- Assures change control mechanisms are in place with customer to track any possible new requirement and change in deployment 


- Able to train supervisors and provides support in technical civil engineer questions, specifically around feasibility, duration and associated costs


- Supports the preparation of  project schedules, bids, or proposals


- Controls the quality and quantity of the subcontractors' work with audits when required


Requirements:


- Fluent in German


- High level of English


- +5 years experience in Outside Plant Construction projects in Germany


- Expert in German Construction Rules and requirements for Outside Plant Network


- Experience with managing subcontractors and claim management


- Focused on detail and implications of decision in cost baseline regarding construction

- Strong communicator


- Very skilled FTTH expert


- Very good knowledge of German Telecommunications networks


- Very good knowledge of German technical specification and standards like ZTV’s, DIN Norms and others related to engineering and design works 


- Able to explain project impacts from technical changes and able to define the most adquate construction technique for each situation


- Customer oriented


- Keen on follow-up of technical change implementation


- Team player


- Used to work in customer environment
