Job Description

 

The Technical Manager – Digital Operations (Assurance) is accountable for Delivery of the Solution in OSS domains within the project context. The prime responsibility is to translate Requirements  to Design and Implement a workable end-to-end solutions including Nokia and occasionally third party sub-systems as defined. The job opening is a position for Asia Pacific /Japan market and targeted to manage delivery to Telco customers across the region

 

Job Responsibilities & Competencies

 

Responsibilities

·         Manage and control Technical scope and implementation of all technical solution (end-to-end) within contractual scope.

·         Manage the deliverables within estimates.

·         Ensure the project meets all the quality standards stipulated in the contract as well as Nokia internal quality guidelines.

·         Manage and guide team on Design, Development, Integration, Deployment and Dimensioning

·         Responsible for creating technical documents, design, interface documents and other implementation artefacts as required

·         Provide status reports to PMs on a consistent basis·         ·        

·         Be the primary customer interface for Techical solution delivery.

·         Be accountable for obtaining formal customer sign-off on requirements and Design / build documents.

·         Assist the Solutions Architecture team with estimates for new work, analysis and feasibility of Solutions and Change Requests

Qualifications

Domain specific:

·         Technical management experience in at least one complex OSS Project involving integration of Fault, Performance and Inventory management solutions for wireline/wireless network

·         Minimum 10 years of experience in OSS/EMS/NMS development with at least 1 major OSS project as TPM or equivalent

·         Good Understanding of OSS, IP and Broadband access (wireline/wireless) Domains

·         Hands on experience with Nokia AOR/NPM/SURE or equivalent applications (Preferred)        

·         Knowledge of SDLC process

·         Knowledge of hosting applications on a telco cloud platform          

·         A fair understanding of BSS and Reporting Domains and tools

 

Technical Skills:

·         Should have development experience in programming

·         Should have good exposure to Database queries and Scripting

·         Exposure to DevOps tools and agile methodology preferred

·         Should have experience in using Microsoft Project, MS Office

·         Should have experience in Configuration Management

·         Should have exposure to cloud native architecture

 

Soft-Skills:

·         Should have the ability to lead a team of global software professionals with multi-cultural background

·         Excellent problem solving and interpersonal communication skills

·         Negotiation skills
