Trainee/Thesis worker, Automation of Power Supply Monitoring
Responsibilities
Our team has a R&D tests environment responsibility within Nokia 4G/5G lab and we wish to get a part-time student to develop further our monitoring system of the laboratory power supply system. R&D laboratories have a certain basic power supply systems already installed and there are lots of related real time power consumption data available, but currently this raw data needs manual follow-up and actual data is not in that easy to use.
So we need to build a new application on top of the current UPS and power supply systems to get user-friendly, real time data with alarming info whenever predefined alarm levels are reached.
Expected experience
You should have basic skills about web tools. In this case web tools are used to create an application which collects raw data from the current real time systems and manipulates it for illustrative, graphical user interface.
The following list gives a rough idea what type skills we appreciate but these skills are just examples
• Basic web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Basic database handling (SQL and possibly PostgreSQL system)
• Programming language such as Python
• Web framework such as Django
So, if you are interested in this type of tools and working environment around them, let us to know that you’d like to get this open student position. Actual work offers lots of implementation freedom and your own skills and ability to innovate just set limits for the final application developed by you.
This position offers 1 – 3 days per week part-time working position with very flexible working hours. You may be 2nd or 3th year student pursuing a degree in a university or university of applied sciences.
